THE CENTER FOR CONSCIOUSNESS STUDIES is a unique institution whose aim is to bring together the perspectives of philosophy, the cognitive sciences, neuroscience, the social sciences, medicine, and the physical sciences, the arts and humanities, to move toward an integrated understanding of human consciousness.
CCS organizes the groundbreaking Toward a Science of Consciousness Conference, which is held every two years in Tucson, AZ and in other international venues on alternate years. This year's conference took place in Stockholm from May 2-8. Next year's TSC will be back in Tucson from April 9-14.

THE SCIENCE AND NONDUALITY CONFERENCE is held annually in California and brings together scientists, philosophers, artists, spiritual practitioners, movement teachers and experientialists to explore various approaches to nonduality, from the Sanskrit word advaita meaning "not two", the notion that all reality is fundamentally a single inseperable essence.
The next SAND conference will be held from October 19-23, 2011 in San Rafael, California.

THE INSTITUE FOR NOETIC SCIENCES (IONS) is a nonprofit membership organization located in Northern California that conducts and sponsors leading-edge research into the potentials and powers of consciousness—including perceptions, beliefs, attention, intention, and intuition.
The Institute maintains a commitment to scientific rigor while exploring phenomena that have been largely overlooked by mainstream science.

THE CENTER FOR CONSCIOUSNESS focuses on the nature of consciousness, the nature of representation and intentionality, and on the relationship between these domains. A broad approach is taken to these issues, bringing in relevant work from numerous neighboring areas of philosophy and of cognitive science.
Along with its ongoing research activities, the Center organizes regular lectures, and organizes a number of focused conferences and workshops every year.
