ARTHUR HASTINGS - ALTERED STATES
The late Arthur Hastings held a Ph.D. in Public Address & Small Group Communication and was a Professor and the Research Director of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP).
He was also Director of the William James Center for Consciousness Studies. His areas of specialization were transpersonal theory, research methods, altered states of consciousness, and parapsychology.
His research included evocation of non-drug altered states through hypnosis, an extended nondrug MDMA-like experience evoked through posthypnotic suggestion.
